2024-2025 John Drury High School Radio Awards

Event Description:

The John Drury High School Radio Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in high school radio from around the country. Hosted by WONC and North Central College, these awards were named in honor of award-winning ABC-Chicago news anchor, John Drury. The reception and awards ceremony will take place on November 1, 2025 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. High school broadcasters, their parents, and faculty advisors, will get a guided tour of the campus, as well as WONC. Afterwards, an awards ceremony will recognize winners in the categories of: Best Newscast, Best News Feature Story, Best Sportscast, Best Sports Talk, Show Best Sports Play-By-Play, Best Public Affairs Program, Best Promo, Best PSA, Best Radio Drama, Best Website, Best Use of Social Media, Best Use of Video, Best Specialty Music Show, Best Talk Show, Best Podcast, Broadcaster of the Year, Student Leadership Award, Best Radio Station Advisor, and Best High School Radio Station.
